Rev up your bikes, and get ready for the Palace’s 2nd Annual Motorcycle Ride! Registration begins at 11am followed by a 47-mile scenic ride that sets out at 12:30pm. Escorted by riders from the Waterbury Police Department, the route will take riders through the Litchfield Hills, loop through Woodbury and Rte 64 in Middlebury, and end back on East Main Street. Following the ride, there will be a street fair featuring a variety of vendors, food, and entertainment, including a guest appearance by Chaz from WPLR's “Chaz and AJ in the Morning,” and a performance by local Eagles tribute band, E-2, who will perform a set at 11am and a second set at 1:30pm. This event is free and open to the public. The day will end with a performance by the soul and funk band, Tower of Power, on the Palace main stage at 8pm. Registration for the motorcycle ride is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger and includes Frankies hotdogs, hamburgers, snacks, beer or choice of beverage. Riders can also purchase a combo package that includes the motorcycle ride registration fee and a ticket to the Tower of Power concert for $65. For more info, or to pre-register, call the box office at 203-346-2000. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Ticket & Travel Fund, which provides underprivileged children with access to the arts.
